Eleventh Hour on the Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month

Ceramic Poppy Display at The Tower of London
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

From "For the Fallen"~Laurence Binyon

One poppy for each fallen Commonwealth soldier of WWI

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from flailing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die,
We shall not sleep, though poppies
        grow

In Flanders fields. ~John McCrae

It isn't just another day. It is a day to mourn. A day to pay tribute. A day to remember. Zichronam Livracha. May their memories forever be for blessing.

Some music for the day. Lest we ever forget.
